We can learn a lot about the character of someone by looking at what they require. What if a business had expectations of employees that work not be done on Sundays and instead quality time be spent with family? Those expectations tell us something about who they are. So it is with the 613 laws that make up a large swath of the Old Testament. They tell us something about God.
